When I was a kid, I was told that if you grabbed a dandelion, made a wish, and stood there, your wish would come true. I did, but it never happened in that moment. Maybe my wish was too small. We wish for things with no idea whether they will ever be granted, but the real lesson is learning to embrace what is.
This painting holds that same quiet hope, the reaching, the letting go, the belief that something unseen might still be listening. Not every wish arrives the way we imagine it. Sometimes it simply asks us to keep reaching anyway, and to find peace in whatever comes instead.
