20 Artists - 14 Nationalities

1. Artist Name: Abigail Chylek

Last year I was searching for something that would bring me true happiness and leave something lasting behind. In spring 2025 I started drawing and discovered how much joy it gives me.

I have always loved visiting galleries and admiring the work on the walls, and I dreamed of one day showing my own art to others. I am still at the beginning of my journey and I am currently drawing what I love most: nature and animals, which is why I will stay with this subject for now. My realistic animal portraits in graphite are built up layer by layer to capture fur, light and the quiet character of each animal. I know I can go far, and I am excited to share my work with you.

“Half Seen I”

Artist Name: Abigail Chylek

Title: Half Seen I

Medium: Graphite pencil on paper

Size: 50 x 35 cm

Year Created: 2026

Price: €750

Nationality: Polish/German

Description: Inspired by the Sumatran tiger, this drawing shows only half of the face, as the animal were stepping out of the shadows or slowly disappearing from view.

The intense sideways glance and the furrowed brow give the tiger a strong, watchful presence, while the soft layered fur and the flowing stripes reveal its quieter, more fragile side. Built up gradually in graphite, each stripe is a trace of the forest it belongs to.

“Half Seen II”

Artist Name: Abigail Joanna Chylek

Title: Half Seen II

Medium: Graphite pencil on paper

Size: 50 x 35 cm

Year Created: 2026

Price: €750

Nationality: Polish/German

Description: Inspired by the Iberian lynx, this portrait is cropped at the edge of the paper, leaving the viewer with one calm, direct gaze.

The pattern of the fur moves from spotted forehead to flowing stripes along the cheek, while the pointed ear and fine whiskers are drawn layer by layer in soft graphite. Once on the brink of extinction and now slowly returning, the lynx stands here for quiet resilience and for the depth hidden behind a calm surface.

Description: Through this painting, I invite viewers to discover another side of my homeland, Iran. In northern Iran, a green valley surrounded by lush bushes stretches towards the majestic Alborz Mountains, their peaks covered in snow.

This landscape holds a special place in my heart, as it reminds me of my childhood. My father built a villa in this beautiful region, where we returned every summer and Persian New Year. We spent precious days swimming in the Caspian Sea, exploring the surrounding jungles, and enjoying the beauty of nature.

Many people imagine Iran as a land of deserts, unaware of its breathtaking green landscapes, fertile valleys, forests, and snow-covered mountains.

I feel deeply connected to my country's land, memories, and identity. Through my art, I want to share the beauty and diversity of Iran with the world, revealing a side of my homeland that many have never imagined.

“Where We Come From”

Title: Where We Come From

Medium: 3D on Canvas

Size: 80x120 cm

Year Created: 2026

Price: €8900

Nationality: Iranian

Description: Every city began as a village, with shared paths, welcoming doors, and spaces where families gathered to eat, celebrate, and sleep beneath the stars. This is the place, Where we come from.

Traditional Persian doors have two knockers, one for men and one for women, each producing a different sound, respecting the privacy of those inside when family arrives they knock two door Knockers.

Through my paintings, I bring my childhood memories to life. My grandparents and their siblings owned a village in west-central Iran. Every summer, our extended family returned to the village. We ran through the fields, explored, danced, laughed, and celebrated together. At night, we slept on the balcony beneath the trees, watching the stars. Even today, I still dream of those summers. I paint these memories with gratitude for a time when everyone knew and cared for one another, a connection I fear the new generation is losing.

If a canvas can hold a door, it can hold a memory, too.

 "Memory is a Heavy Sword"

Title: Memory is a Heavy Sword

Medium: Acrylic & Mixed Media on Canvas

Size: 60 x 80 cm

Year Created: 2026

Price: €920

Nationality: Serbian/Cypriot

Description: *Memory is a Heavy Sword* explores the weight of what we carry from the past, the fragments, emotions, and experiences that remain long after moments have disappeared. Layers of acrylic, gestural marks, scratches, stains, and found visual elements build a surface that feels both fractured and alive, suggesting the way memory is constantly rewritten and reshaped.

The dark central forms evoke the density of remembered experience, while turquoise and pale tones emerge like flashes of clarity, distance, or release. Repeated organic patterns suggest echoes, thoughts that return, transform, and resist being forgotten. The contrast between turbulence and open space reflects the tension between holding on and letting go.

Nationality: Serbian/Cypriot

Description: *Why So Blue* explores the emotional landscape of uncertainty, restlessness, and quiet introspection. The composition moves between energetic, fragmented forms and expansive areas of pale space, creating a tension between what is expressed and what remains unresolved. Layers of blue, turquoise, ochre, black, and warm earthy tones collide and overlap, reflecting the complexity of emotions that rarely exist in isolation.

Gestural marks, splashes, scratches, and repeated patterns create a sense of movement, as though thoughts are continuously shifting beneath the surface. The dominant blues suggest melancholy, but also calm, distance, and freedom.

16. Artist Name: Marleen Lorek

For over twenty years, I worked in live event lighting as a lighting designer and trainer while developing my own painting practice. Working with light, colour and contrast still shapes how I paint. Today, I live and work near Paphos, creating abstract mixed-media paintings.

I work intuitively, without sketches, building up layers of acrylic and texture paste. Some pastes I make myself, others react with a second layer. Both crack as they dry, each in its own way.

I can guide the process, but never fully control it, and those cracks are part of the work. Many of my paintings begin at the sea, where I can switch off and let my thoughts wander. My work has been exhibited in Berlin, Rome, Lisbon, Miami, New York, Limassol and Paphos.

Description: Being at the water, or in it, is where my thoughts slow down and start to move freely. This series grew out of memories of those moments.

From the Air I brings two of them together: two bands stretching across the blue, seen from above. The cracked surfaces come from different layers of texture paste. As the paste dries, it breaks open, revealing parts of what lies underneath.

"From the Air II"

Artist Name: Marleen Lorek

Title: From the Air II

Medium: Acrylic Texture on Canvas

Size: 70 x 50 cm

Description: The quietest of the three paintings. Two shapes lie horizontally in the blue, with plenty of space around them.

It comes from those moments at the water when my mind settles and I finally have room to notice what is usually overlooked. The open blue areas contrast with the cracked, textured surfaces, where there's more to discover the closer you look.

17. Artist Name: Natalie Andresen

My impressionistic oil paintings capture the poetry of light, the beauty of the sea, and the timeless elegance of architecture. Through expressive brushstrokes, luminous colors, and shimmering reflections, I transform fleeting moments into lasting emotions. Each canvas invites you into a world of serenity, romance, and quiet wonder, where Mediterranean light awakens cherished memories and inspires new dreams.

The interplay of sea, sky, and architecture creates an atmosphere that feels both familiar and dreamlike. More than a visual experience, my art is an invitation to pause, to feel, and to wander beyond the present moment. Every painting tells a story, evokes a memory, and leaves space for your imagination, a timeless connection between light, place, emotion, and the soul.

20. Artist Name: Thekrayat Al Abbasi

Thekrayat Al Abbasi is a Bahraini ceramic maker based in Cyprus. Her journey with clay began in 2021 through painting terracotta bowls, before developing into slab-built work and later wheel-thrown ceramics at The Makers Space in Tala. She works with different clays and glazes, allowing the material's natural movement and subtle imperfections to remain visible.

Arabic calligraphy has become central to her developing visual language: the word Thekrayat, meaning Memories, appears across her signature pieces alongside flowing Arabesque elements. Together these forms connect personal memory, making and Arab cultural heritage. “Bringing calligraphy onto clay marked a defining evolution in my practice.”
