The Peace Within
I created The Peace Within during a time when my country, Iran, was under attack and I was unable to contact my family. I was living with fear and uncertainty, yet my imagination took me somewhere completely different.
I imagined myself sitting quietly beside a window, looking towards the sea and surrounded by nature.
Instead of painting the turmoil outside, I painted the place I wished to be.
The painting presents a quiet interior with a tall arched window overlooking the sea. Natural light enters through the window and falls across the floor, while the landscape beyond creates a feeling of openness and freedom.
The curved architecture creates a sense of shelter around the space. The window provides a connection with nature and the sea, allowing the outside world to enter without disturbing the calm of the room.
While creating this painting, I imagined sitting there myself. I imagined looking towards the sea, listening to the quietness and allowing my thoughts to settle.
