Appearance (Original Sold | Prints Available)

€385,00

At first glance, this painting reads as pure texture and contrast, streaks of black moving through cracked white, marks without an obvious subject. It could be mistaken for abstraction alone. But look closer, and the black lines begin to resolve into something else entirely: a forest of trees, standing tall and vertical, their trunks rising through the noise like a hidden structure beneath the surface.

That is the entire idea behind the piece. Appearance is not always the truth of a thing. What looks chaotic from a distance can hold quiet order once you take the time to really see it. What seems bare or empty can be full of life, standing patiently, waiting to be noticed rather than announced. The painting asks you to slow down, to stop trusting the first impression, and to look again before deciding what something is.

Nothing here is exactly as it seems until you choose to look closer, and perhaps that is the quiet lesson within it, appearance is only the surface, never the whole story.
