Submission for Group Art Exhibition "Flourish" 29th Nov - 7th Dec 2024
We are excited to announce a call for artists for our upcoming exhibition, "Flourish"
This initiative aims to showcase the diverse talents within our artistic community and provide a platform for artists to express themselves. No theme is required for submissions; as an artist, I believe that imposing a theme limits artists in showcasing their work and inspiring viewers from diverse perspectives.
I, Elham Razani, a multidisciplinary Persian artist with over 23 years of experience and an extensive portfolio exhibited internationally, am honored to lead the Ibrahim Art Gallery, nestled in the vibrant heart of Paphos. I am personally committed to reviewing and curating each submission with passion and attention to detail.
We welcome submissions from artists working in various mediums, including oil painting, abstract art, mixed media, sculpture, mosaic art. Whether you are a seasoned professional or an emerging talent, we encourage you to share your unique perspective and contribute to this collective exploration of creativity.
Submission Details:
- Deadline for Submissions: 15th November 2024.
Please don’t wait until the deadline to apply, as many artists have already shown interest; spaces may fill up before the deadline.
Successful applicants will be notified via email by 20th November 2024. Selected artists will receive further details regarding participation and exhibition logistics.
- Up to 3 high-quality images of your artwork (JPEG or PDF) - I will choose one or two paintings.
- Size of the painting: Max 100 cm width
- A brief artist statement (250 words max) outlining how you started your art career and what you are creating.
Entry Fee: For accepted artists, the entry fee is 45 Euros, and there is a 15% commission on any art sold during the exhibition. This commission helps cover operational costs while ensuring artists receive fair compensation for their work.
Please note: As you know, galleries often charge high commissions, typically around 40% to 50%, which can be frustrating since the majority of the work is done by the artist. To earn a fair amount, artists have to raise prices, making the artwork less accessible to buyers. To address this, I’ll be charging a lower commission to help you price your art more affordably and increase your chances of a successful sale.
Note: There will be no refunds after registration for any reason, as this allows me to dedicate my time to reviewing all applications.
Artwork Delivery: Selected artists are required to deliver their artwork to Ibrahim Khan Art Gallery or to Elham Razani Art Studio on 21st - 22nd & 23rd from 10:00 am to 17:00
Exhibition Dates: The exhibition will run from 29th November to 7th December 2024, with the opening reception on 29th November at 18:00.
Gallery hours: From 10:00 - 12:30 & 16:00 - 17:30 daily
Artwork Collection: Exhibitors are requested to collect their artwork on 7th December 20:00 and on 9th December from 10:30 to 17:00.
