OPEN CALL FOR HANDMADE ART & CRAFT ARTISTS (September 2026)

OPEN CALL FOR HANDMADE

ART & CRAFT ARTISTS

🔷️ I am delighted to announce that we will be opening a Handmade Art & Craft Market at Ibrahim's Khan Art Gallery, giving talented artists and makers the opportunity to present their unique handmade creations to the public for 10 days, from 18th September – 27th September 2026.

As many of you know, over the past two years I have successfully organized and curated exhibitions supporting artists and their creative journeys. This is the second time in 2026 that I'm bringing together a community of talented handmade craft artists, creating a space where they can showcase and sell their work in a professional, supportive, and inspiring environment. My goal is simple: to present each artist's work beautifully and respectfully, with the quality and attention it truly deserves.

Our first Handmade Market in June was very successful. Not only were the artists very happy with the outcome, but the visitors were also delighted to see talented artists create such beautiful art with passion in our city. We also had an amazing gathering with the artists, sharing our experiences together, it was such a beautiful vibe.

♦️ If you are an artist or handmade craft creator and would like to participate in this special event, please press the Submit Button at the end of the description.

📅 Submission Deadline: Wednesday, 9th September 2026.

Note: Don't leave your submission close to the deadline. The Gallery is not very big, so it will fill up quickly, book your place before it's too late.

Information about the Market:

This market will run for 10 days, from 18th – 27th September, from 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM.

The venue is at Ibrahim's Khan Gallery, indoors and fully air conditioned.

🖐 IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ THE RULES CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING:

This time I decided to create 3 options for artists who want to participate on different days, to make it practical for artists to choose their days of participation in advance.

Options

If you would like to display your art for 10 days, choose:

Option 1: From 18th – 27th September 2026 (10 Days). €75

If 10 days is too long, then choose either Option 2 or Option 3.

Option 2: From 18th – 22nd September 2026 (5 Days). €50

Option 3: From 23rd – 27th September 2026 (5 Days).  €50

Note: If you are only able to participate for a couple of days within either option, instead of the full duration, the fee will remain the same. For instance, if you sign up for the 10 days but can't attend certain days, or you start on day 2, you will still pay the same amount as for the full 10 days.

  • Only handmade art and crafts created by the artist will be accepted.
  • No mass-produced items will be allowed.
  • Each selected artist must provide their own table, tablecloth, and chair.
  • If you have more artwork to present, you may book an additional table by paying for a second space (as if two artists were participating), if space is available.
  • Please make sure your table presentation is beautiful, professional, and not overcrowded. You may keep extra items under the table and refresh your display as your artworks are sold.
  • Each table space is approximately 1.80 meters long, and artists must respect the space of neighboring artists.
  • Artists must be present at their own table during market hours. No responsibility will be taken for unattended tables.
  • If you cannot attend personally for the whole event, a friend or family member must represent your table. You need to inform me in advance who will be in charge.
  • Feel free to create your art while you are at the market, it is wonderful for visitors to see the artist behind the handmade creations. However, if your process creates too much mess or noise, please do not do it inside the market space.
  • Please be kind and respectful to your fellow artists. We are gathering to make new friends, learn from each other, and grow together.
  • Please be mindful not to use or ask another artist to process payment through their POS (point of sale) machine for art you sold to a buyer, due to banking issues. Thank you.
  • Once an artist submits their form, I will check the information and let them know via WhatsApp or email whether they have been accepted for the market.
  • Accepted artists can pay their fee by Revolut or direct bank deposit.
  • After registration, I'll add the artist's name to the WhatsApp group so we can communicate during the event.
  • Please note that once payment is made after submission, it is non-refundable, due to the administrative effort involved in organizing and preparing the event.

Note: Before submitting, please ensure you are able to follow all the rules. Otherwise, kindly do not apply.

✨ Feel free to share this opportunity with your friends and family who may be interested.

I look forward to discovering your beautiful handmade creations!
